Meghan Decker, President
 
 
Meghan Decker is the president of Open Door Communications. She holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in English from Brigham Young University. At BYU and Ohio University-Zanesville she taught composition and literature courses, with an emphasis on analytical writing. Meghan is a Michigan-certified forensics judge for competitive public speaking and acting events, and she has coached forensics teams at Portage Central High School. Her free-lance writing credits include articles, short fiction, and a non-fiction book, Reaching for Hope. Meghan and her husband David have five daughters. She is a member of Rotary International and is the Director of Public Affairs for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Southwest Michigan.
 
 
 
 
Kathy Mulay, Vice President of Operations
 
 
Kathy Mulay has received numerous awards for her work in Speech and Drama including Kalamazoo’s distinguished Community Medal of Arts Award in 2001, Michigan’s Interscholastic Speech Teacher of the Year in 2000 and Drama Teacher of the Year in 2001. A national competitor in Persuasive Speaking herself, she coached her Portage Central Forensic Team (competitors in public speaking and dramatic interpretation) to a record breaking eight consecutive Class A State titles and accumulated forty-four individual state champions. Widely recognized for her community theatrical productions, her drama students have performed internationally at the largest theatre festival in the world in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2002 and 2005. She acquired her degree in Speech Communications from The University of Colorado and has been teaching and coaching Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communications, Debate, Forensics and Drama for twenty-three years. Company responsibilities include product development, group dynamics training and public speaking coaching.
